Wei! Porcelain Bak Kut Teh Bowl

Traditionally, Chinese cuisine values the use of five flavours based on the belief that diverse flavours are essential for a healthy and balanced diet. Wei! is a tableware that gives shape to the intangible flavours of food. The tableware uses form and texture to visually showcase the flavour composition of an iconic dish. Generative design was used to create a parametric language to convey the level of flavour across different dishes. To present the textures of flavours, a soup jar is produced according to Teochew-style Bak Kut Teh – a local specialty. Sheryl Ang DID.IT
