What is your business about?

I started inkwithjoy back when I was in Secondary 2, as a small place to share my doodles and offer customised art designs. Over time, this interest has grown into a colourful space where I create cute designs (like sticker sheets and prints) of animals, sea creatures, food I love and other little things that make me happy. What began as a hobby has turned into my way of spreading joy through selling and sharing my sticker sheets, art prints and playful illustrations filled with colour and personality!

What made you decide to start your business?

I started @inkwithjoy because I wanted to create something that was truly my own and have a space where I could express myself freely and bring my artistic ideas to life through my illustrations. It was also deeply fulfilling to see something grow from a simple idea into a tangible design and product that reflects who I am. More than just a business, it is also a personal journey of self-expression and accomplishment for me as I share a part of myself with others through my art!

How has your SEM Experience been? 

Through the SEM programme, I’ve had the chance to sell my own merchandise and share my art with the NUS community. The experience has taught me to be more organised in how I manage my small business and pushed me to think of creative ways to engage others in my art. It always makes my day when someone buys a sticker to decorate their laptop, bottle, or share with a friend. It reminds me how art can spread joy in small but meaningful ways. I am truly grateful for the support from both NUS Co-op and the community that keeps this interest of mine growing!
