What is your business about?

Welcome to theclaywagon! Whether you are interested in handmade clay accessories, self-designed products like stickers and cardholders, or even handmade ceramics, you are sure to find something here! Each item is carefully handcrafted and designed with the goal of bringing a touch of joy to your daily life.

What made you decide to start your business?

I’ve always enjoyed crafting with clay since I was young, and during the COVID-19 pandemic my friends encouraged me to try posting some of my items for sale. I was surprised to see that they were well-received, and I got a lot of positive feedback from customers! I was happy to be able to bring a touch of happiness to others through my crafts and therefore decided to continue developing my brand. 

How has your SEM Experience been? 

Being part of SEM has helped me gain valuable experience in running a small business, particularly with selling my products on a consignment basis. It has also prompted me to learn more about packaging design to optimise the way my products are displayed in a store. It has also provided exposure to a larger group of potential customers, including tourists from various countries!

Clarissa graduated from the NUS Faculty of Science in 2025. Her works are currently on sale at NUS Co-op@Central Forum under the Student Entrepreneur’s Market (SEM) programme.
