What is your business about?
Lingonjam is a small jar of berry sweet art, drawn by hand and filled with care. It features locally designed illustrations across lifestyle items, meme animal stickers, playful characters, and more.
What made you decide to start your business?
Lingonjam began as a conceptual idea for my NM3217 final project, inspired by seeing student-run booths around campus. I designed it as an art shop brand, featuring a lingonberry mascot wearing an artist’s beret and holding a paintbrush. Winning first place in the NUS Co-op design competition in 2024 later gave me the confidence to bring Lingonjam to life. In my third year at NUS, I officially started Lingonjam.
How has your SEM Experience been?
Being part of SEM gave me my first consignment experience, allowing me to place my own designed items in NUS Co-op. Seeing my work in a retail setting helped me understand how presentation, pricing, and audience differ beyond temporary booths. It was especially exciting to watch people browse my items in Co-op and then spot them being used around school! I also enjoyed learning alongside other student creators and participating in the MUJI X NUS Co-op event in August 2025.
